The Pink Coat

Coat- ASOS (sold out) similar here, Trainers- New Balance here, Top-black polo neck here

Is this actually a blog post? .. first one of the century for me. I've been trying to blog for what feels like forever but had zero luck due to Glasgow's daily downpour of rain and the fact that nobody wants to take photos for me ( sympathy here). However yesterday I forced my boyfriend to snap a few photos as it was actually dry and sunny for once, sadly hes not very good with a camera and would rather not stand about snapping photos while people stare in our general direction...
I've had this AMAZING pink coat for at least 6 weeks now and that fact this is its very first appearance on my blog is truly terrible, I'm most definitely head over heels in love with it and I don't care who knows. This season is all about pink and much to my surprise I am loving it. I'm so happy its finally goodbye Summer and hello Autumn, as much as I do enjoy a bit of sun I really don't enjoy anything about summer clothes.. Autumn/Winter all the way!

There's always time for tartan

Jacket H&M, Top similar here, Shorts Topshop, Boots Topshop, Srunchie American Apparel

For the majority of my adult life I have dreamed of owning one of Acne's amazing coats, I mean just LOOK at this and tell me its not one of the most amazing jackets you have ever seen? Sadly my bank balance cannot make that dream come true and probably wont ever be able too. When I seen this winter delight in H&M for under £40 it was a no brainer and it is quite possibly the warmest jacket I have ever owned. I also spied a gorgeous ASOS number online today which you can see here. I love all things tartan at the moment so expect to see a few more tartan pieces on the blog in the near future. Lately I've been feeling very much like my younger self back in the 90's with my ' half up half down' hair style that my mum used to make me wear almost every day. It is now my easy go to doo along with a trusty rucksack on my back and in this case another one I stole from my grandma.

As I'm still very new to the Blogging world I would appreciate it if you could take a moment to follow me on Bloglovin http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/8399865, Thank you :)

That time of year again

Jacket Topshop (old), Dress here, Bag (old), Watch here, Loafers similar here

It's that time of year again, back to uni I go. I'ts time to dig out the satchel and dread the work load to come. I'm going into my third year of International Fashion Branding at Glasgow Caledonian University and I'm looking forward to it but I also realise I'm actually doing to have to put effort in this year,  not that I don't usually of course..I always start the first week back looking out what I'll wear the next day and trying to be organised however this never last's very long, by week two I'll be running out the door in a mad rush shoving on jeans and a jumper or whatever springs to mind first. The problem with studying a fashion course ( with a ridiculous amount of beautiful looking girls on it) is that I always wish I'd made a little bit more effort instead of pretending I'm going for that hobo chic look. OHWELL. Thats when outfits like this one come in handy, easy peesy to wear and looks not to shabby either. In fact I absolutely love this wee floral dress its by far the best thing I've bought from Urban Outfitters in the last few months. Its perfect for any occasion especially going out for food as you can eat as much as you like and hide that food baby at the same time, which is pretty ideal for me as I am a complete greedy pig when it comes to food. This satchel is one of many I bought during my year in India and its lasted me so well throughout university. The fact it cost me less than ten pound and is real leather is just one of the reasons I'm dying to head back to Asia. My boyfriend gets sick of me going on about  how much more expensive everything in shops here are that you could snap up over there for about £2 and yet here your paying quadruple the price for it, especially jewellery ( rant over).

Fluffy Friend

25th September

Jumper new look, Shirt Urban Outfitters, Jeans Topshop, Boots Topshop, Earings Forever 21,  Bag Grandma's wardrobe..

Comfortable and warm, what more could you want from a winter cardigan? I am loving all of the fluffy cardigan's out at the moment. I picked this one up in new look during the week and cant take it off, I'm like a walking teddy bear.. free hugs galore. Last week I moved into my new flat in Glasgow, giving up our rather large party pad for a cute two bedroom flat towards the west end. As much as I miss our male flatmates I have zero complaints about the new found cleanliness. I could definitely see some funny looks being fired in my direction from our new neighbours as my flatmate so kindly snapped these photos. It's all fun and games for her now.. lets see how long that continues. This wee gem of a bag is one I pinched from my grandma two weeks ago, I was searching for a bag for a night out that I had seen her wear before when I found four delights that she clearly hasn't worn for at least thirty years. I couldn't bare to see them stuck there for another thirty so being the helpful granddaughter I am I took them off her hands.

Coat Sensation...

Coat Sensation...

Topshop jacket / Topshop coat / Zara coat / Zara short wool coat / ASOS coat / Topshop oversized wool coat

Winter coats are my all time favorite item of clothing and this year the high street has far to much to offer. I've always been a fan of boyfriend coats and I bought a lovely one last year, however I feel its just not bright enough this year.. I NEED A PINK ONE. At first I thought I would get a bit sick of everything pink but that certainly isn't the case anymore. I am a firm believer that a good coat is an investment and it is always better to spend that little bit more to get a good quality coat that you can wear again and again. I love that there are so many bright and bold coats around this year, perfect for adding a splash of colour to our winter wardrobes. I'm sure I'll be seeing more than one new coat trying to squeeze its way in to my small student sized wardrobe this winter. These are just a few beauty's I'm loving.

MissGuided Goodness

MissGuided has produced some crackers lately, this leather look skirt being one of them, and the best bit has to be the cheap and cheerful price! Its the perfect skirt for all occasions throughout Autumn and Winter. It comes in white and burgandy too ( DYING for the white one). I had planned to only blog outfit post's outside, however it's already getting dark very early and rains about 90% of the time in Glasgow so the occasional inside pictures will have to do. I feel that this might be my last encounter with my lovely Topshop hat as soon it's going to be all about woollies.. and I can't wait!! Winter wardrobes are my absolute favourite. Apart from my new skirt the rest of this outfit is pretty old, the blazer and top are both Urban Outfitters and the necklace is H&M. There are so many gorgeous necklaces in H&M at the moment that are similar to this one, I want them all. A girl can never have too many accessories right?
I'm going to the cinema tonight ( got to love orange Wednesday's) and we've not decided what we're going to see yet, I was secretly hoping that the 1D film just happens to be the only film on when we arrive (highly doubtful) and if it is there is zero chance Simon would endure an hour and a half of it anyway (sigh).

This weeks wish list...

this weeks wish list

Zara purple dress / Topshop jacket / Topshop jeans / Shoes, $120 / Zara black handbag / Pull&Bear backpacks bag, $36 / The Row mod sunglasses / Converse All Stars Optical boots – white Converses – unisex boots UK

DROOLING over all of these items, Polyvore is far too addicted for somebody with such little will power when it comes to saving money and not spending it! This Zara dress has my name all over it, I might allow myself just one of these items this week, I'd say I deserve it...
Tartan and plaid are two A/W trends I will be embracing with open arms, and not just because I'm Scottish. I've seen lots of amazing tartan items gracing our high street lately and today I finally gave in and made my first purchase. Hopefully I'll snap a few outfit shots this week and slip some tartan in there.
